Former Mis Teeq singer Alesha Dixon has reportedly split from her long-term partner Azuka Ononye after 12 years together, according to sources. According to The Sun, the Britain's Got Talent judge told friends that she is no longer in a relationship with the dancer but the pair are still living together for the sake of their two children.
Speculation surrounding the couple's relationship began to swirl late last year, with sources claiming the pair went their separate ways in November 2024. It comes after the pop sensation travelled to the Caribbean Island of Jamaica earlier this month for a well-deserved break with her girlfriends. A source told the outlet: "Alesha confirmed she's split from Azuka and is navigating that as best as she can.
"They are still living together for the sake of their family and are co-parenting. Alesha headed to Jamaica with her friends to get some sunshine and have a break from her hectic schedule. It was a great tonic and she had a fantastic time."
The star has previously called Jamaica her "favourite spot" and said she had "left a piece" of her heart there after a visit years ago. During her trip, she stayed at the GoldenEye resort on the northern coastline, where she posted snaps of herself enjoying the crystal clear waters.
The idyllic resort, which is located on the island's Oracabessa Bay, is where British author Ian Fleming wrote all 14 of his infamous James Bond books. The ITV judge previously admitted that she played "hard to get for about a year" while Azuka was wooing her after they met in 2006.
Alesha finally gave in before reportedly secretly marrying her main in 2017 and welcoming their two children, Azur and Anaya. However, the pair reportedly called time on their relationship last year, with pals saying the couple were "more like friends" back in November.
Back in 2017, Alesha - who was previously married to So Solid Crew's MC Harvey - introduced Azuka as her "lovely husband" during an appearance on Michael McIntyre's Big Show Christmas Special. However, neither confirmed if a wedding took place.
The duo first met back in 2006 after Alesha's year-long marriage to Harvey, which ended after he cheated on her. At the time, Azuka was working as a Mis-Teeq backup dancer before being hired as the star's creative director.
In 2018, she admitted on the Jonathan Ross Show that she initially played "hard to get" after recovering from a foot operation. She told viewers: "He was sleeping on the floor because I was on the couch, I couldn't even get up the stairs. If he can carry me to the toilet then he's a keeper.
"I had the foot operation and I couldn't walk and he was literally sleeping on the floor looking after me every day. I was just looking at him thinking, 'That is for better or for worse, isn't it?' I looked a state."
During an appearance on Giovanna Fletcher's Happy Mum podcast in 2020, Alesha opened up about her family life and said: "[Azuka] was the first person that I'd met that I knew that we could have children together because of our values, our morals, our thinking aligned."
